Randy Orton, a man depised by most of the IWC because of his rapidy rise which was not equated to his in-ring ability, or so the story goes. That however is not the issue at hand.
Randy Orton was beaten cleanly by HHH at the Royal Rumble in a World Championship match, now the significance is when in the blue hell was the last time Hunter went over someone, cleanly, in a major PPV for the World Title. It doesn't happen that often folks. Not only that but in the same event Batista, a former team-mate of Orton went on the win the Royal Rumble match.
So what exactly does this mean for Orton? Who will he feud against? What will his role be in Wrestlemania? Is it just me or does he now seem completely out of place after being booked as the unstoppable face, who was stopped. Every shard of momentum Orton had, has been lost. So what exactly will the WWE do with him now?
To me the best option is a feud with Edge, however chances are they would have Edge job to Orton which will not help Edge in getting over and he is only now building the momentum he needs to really be considered a main eventer. Would it really be wise for the WWE to kill what could be potentially a very good chance they have with Edge, on a man who has already dissapointed them?
Orton seems to have a problem with getting over with any demographic outside of dellusional horny teenage girls for any sustained period of time so is there any major and last lasting angle that the WWE even have the option to put him in? To me a move to Smackdown would be the only option for Orton, it would be a fresh enviroment for him to work in which would revitalise his character and hopefully learn a thing or two from the likes of Kurt Angle, Booker T, Eddie Geurrero and even JBL.
I would personally would have liked to see a Rock/HHH kind of feud be the case withCena and Orton, two men battling their entire careers for every belt that the WWE has to offer, that in my eyes would have brought the best out in both of them.
So what do you think is next for Randy Orton, where do you seem him at Wrestlemania and where will he go from there?
