Not that its that big of a deal but I have known many people of Arab decent and no matter how you cut it Hassan may have a little Italian in him but his middle eastern traits are far more visible than any Italian features. Many sources state that his background includes heritige from the Jordan region. My .02.

Muhammad Hassan pure Italian. His real name is Mark Caponi, born in Jordan, but raised in New York. Unfortunately the article does not say that his mother was a naturalized (born there) Jordaninan. However one is to assume that she of course is not Muslim, due to the fact she married an Italian (Italians are more known to be Catholic), and the fact that Mark (Hassan) is not a Muslim, but he is in fact.... you ready..... a buddhist. The Davari character is flawed for 2 reasons, one, Davari is NOT ARAB, he is PERSIAN. There is a HUGE difference. Not only that, but when Davari gets on the mic, he is speaking PERSIAN. Davari's father own's a pizza shop (the name escapes me) that has received a ton of accolades for the food served. Most of the info you read here about Hassan and Davari can be found here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_Hassan

Hassan is half Arab half Italian
Copani is an Italian name, hence, his father is Italian.
He is born in Jordan or his mother was. There are such things as Jordanian or Arab Christians believe it or not *gasp* *shocker* (/sarcsm) and yes, I am a Christian Arab.
Not that the religion matters, but I am pointing out that Christian Arabs of course can intermarry outside their nationality. He looks full blown Jordanian but with some middleasterners they look "Italian" anyway because they are both "Mediteranean Caucasoids" racially. I am full Lebanese and I look "whiter" than Hassan and I got blue eyes.
enough with this prejudiced crapola about what he is and isnt. The fact is, hes a great wrestler that has been banned from SD tv.

Although they both may have ties to the middle east, Daivari isn't Arab. Iranians are considered Persians not Arabs and he has never claimed to be so on or off the camera. And I don't think either one of them are practicing muslims, especially Mark, due to the fact that he has quite a few tatoos on him and that isn't allowed in Islam, it's actually considered a sin. According to Wikipedia Mark Copani is a Buddhist. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Magnus

I am a muslim from the uk and after seeing great american bash, believe it or not i was horrified to see how wwe panned out the wole hassan angle attacking undertaker on smackdown then carry davari like he is a martyr. Know many americans and the "american press" put out a whole issue regarding this and blamed wwe and hassan if i remeber correctly wwe gave upn rights to edit this, hassan should not be blamed neither should the wwe, blame upn for not doing thier job right, according to itv they can edit a show within 10 mins "the taker attack" was in the second hour and right at the end (am i right?) so before we point fingers lets just think twice.

He is Italian because I reaserched and the name Copani is Italian he used this last name. Most of you know that Hassan is an honest man. He is not fake and he honestly speaks on behalf of others whom are facing prejudice, bigotry, etc. What matters is that he is a strongwilled person that is always standing for his rights and he doesn't take crap from anyone. He is not afraid to say what he thinks and his story inspires others. It is because of him that I now have a greater passion for the MiddleEast. I am absolutely for his views and he is a very positive person and that is what the world needs. My quote is that when people that hate set their differences aside, they are only hating themselves because they are a person just like everyone else. It is so true. Scrutinize it. Hassan is a very powerful person and he will be known as Hassan. He can impact the world. I hope that he has a gargantuine amount of success in acting!
